Did anyone else watch the programme on TV last night? 49 hot dogs in 12 minutes by a japanese chap. The british champ only managed about a dozen. The world record stands at 53 dogs in 12 minutes.

Is that with rolls as well or just sausages?

Whilst very impressed with the winner, I found the rules (or lack of them) rather dubious. Apparently the fella ate 2 sausages at a time, whilst soaking the 2 bread rolls in water before eating them!

A hot dog only counts if the roll and sausage are eaten.

Can you believe the winner (49 dogs) has a 6-pack, and model type physique. Praps they make themselves throw up after the competition.

I wouldn't have thought you would have to make yourself after 40 odd gristle sticks.

I made myself a hot dog (just happened to have some buns of about the right size) and managed to eat one in 55 seconds which is 25 seconds more than the time I estimated it would take - its harder than it looks.

I'll give it another go (just one bun, another day) but 13 seconds per hotdog

You pretty much have to swallow them whole to get them down in 13 seconds

The same bloke had a hot dog eating competition against a grizzly bear. The had loads of dogs on the plate and just started munching. The grizzly cruised it and was even looking over at the chaps hot dogs and thinking yummy.

I had to swallow mine whole to get it down in 55 That said, my sausage was bigger than theirs. did I just say that out loud?

Anyone cooking hot dogs for dinner tonight? I do believe my 55 seconds is the PH record... unless anyone can beat it
