My MY14 DB9 handbrake 'snapped' when used the other day.
The physical handbrake in the cabin is totally floppy and not engaged at the wheels, so car remains fully drivable, just annoying beeping sound as a sensor must think the handbrake is engaged.
Is anyone able to advise what part needs replacement (a part number / good value source to purchase from would be ideal)? Aston handbrakes are funky the way they work by being engaged then folding by driver seat. I found a page in the workshop manual.

I never use it, I just press P instead.
aha - i just pulled my handbrake too hard with my strong muscular arm and it broke - first time i'd used it in ages. I usually just stick it in P as well unless on a hill.

Had exactly the same thing with mine a couple of years ago. Pulled the lever and the cable snapped. Had to have a new cable fitted, thankfully wasn't too big a job. From what I remember was £300-£400 ish supply and fit from closest specialist. The handbrake lever has a switch attached to it, which can be disconnected to remove the dash light in the mean time.
Yeah sounds like a new handbrake cable, I replaced mine a few years ago.
They are quite easy to do yourself, you need to remove both the rear wheels to feed the new cable around the rear subframe to the handbrake callipers, then remove the drivers seat to change the cable at the lever end, some simple adjustments and your good to go.
New cable should be around £200
