Solicitor needed rejecting used car
Discussion
I live in Kent and was hoping someone can recommend a good solicitor. I bought a 2016 Land Rover Discovery with a 6-month warranty. The car has head a few problems been back to the dealer but it gave up within 6-months of ownership failing to start was collected by the RAC and taking back to the dealer who has attempted to fix it but as failed. He thinks the turbo went and it had a timing chain problem. He replaced both of these but now says he believed there is an internal engine problem. The car was running very badly in August so he took him back for one week to do a region which seemed to sort it out but I have only done 2000 miles in this car and had it since July. There were other problems with it which he could not sort out so I am now rejecting the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Ideally I am looking for a solicitor based in Kent who specialises in this.
Thanks in advance

Follow the rejection process under CRA , No need to get a solicitor involved unless the dealer plays silly buggers and you can't be bothered with sorting it out yourself.Ideally I am looking for a solicitor based in Kent who specialises in this.

This. No need for a solicitor. Be aware that you will have a deduction for usage, be prepared to negotiate on that. Thanks guys.
He is basically washing his hands with it even though there have been a few problems and he just fitted a new chain and turbo without fault-finding first.
He is saying that it was fit for purpose when he sold it but I don't believe that is a way out for him because the car has been off the road almost as long as it has been on since my ownership and he has not fixed it.
I bought it with 58000 miles on the clock with one lady owner and full history

OP these people were mentioned on another thread, although opinions seemed mixed and there is a significant fee involved I believe (unsurprisingly)

Perhaps worth giving them a bell

This is taken from the CRA 2015 Guidance for businesses. You are well within your rights to reject the car but you may need to dig yourself in for the long haul. You have state that you are rejecting the car and then not use it until the the dealer accepts your rejection and collects it.

One lady owner... in other words the wheels are most likely kerbed, interior never kept tidy, services done late, maintenance expenses kept to a minimum including non-matching Luckyland or Joyroad tyres.
I don't understand why people would prefer to buy a car because it was owned by a woman?

Was this a Discovery Sport 2.0 diesel by any chance?
If it was, it's the same Ingenium engine as the Evoque, F-Pace etc of the same period.
There have been hundreds of engines replaced on these,
If you have a spare hour, this thread may well arm you with some useful information.
Don't flick, read it properly, there's some seriously interesting stuff in it.
It includes comments from JLR staff as well as garage people

Both you and the dealer might want to have stern words with Jaguar Landrover.
Could get you a new engine.

Two hopes and one of them's Bob.Could get you a new engine.
It's enough of a challenge getting JLR to stand behind stuff that's still in warranty, let alone something that's 7 years old and not purchased from dealer network.
