Poorly presented cerbs

I went to a well known garage at the weekend to look at their cerbs (a friend is after one).
I was suprised that the older ones are so ropey.
I thought garages would be fussy !
One had terrible paint all over, very wide panel gaps in the doors (that then meant the front of the doors looked like they rubbed when opened) etc...
Another (just sold) looked better but had peeling paint.
Another had cracks in the grp.
Being an 'enthusiasts' car I Would have thought that garages could afford to be choosey as there must be loads of cherished ones out there. Just proved to me that private purchase (or fussy 'dealer') is the way to go for cerbs.

whilst looking for my cerb two years ago, i went to a well known main dealer in kent only to find most of the showroom cars were presented in a very poor state.
i then visited dream machines in sussex and found all of their cars in very nice condition so bought one. thats why you've got to look around. good luck with your search.

I've seen this mentioned before,

Me thinks a lot of the cars for sale could be on behalf ot the customer "sale or return"

Hence the condition
