Actually spent some time on search engines and YouTube and i think I know the answeerr but thought I ask

I had a flat, changed wheel, lost locking nut, sure I put it away but must have left it by the roads. Tried to get a replacement, apparently I need the part no of the locking nut, my only solution is to force them off? Car is an Alfa Giuletta

Pretty much! Obviously they are designed to be difficult to remove without the correct 'key' , but most garages and tyre shops have ways and means (some prettier than others) including in some cases master sets and sacrificial self-forming ones. It should be possible without damage to the wheel, so ask how they intend to approach it...

Depending on the design of the nut and how much space there is around it, I've had success in the past by hammering a socket on it, just like on a rounded bolt head.

I can remember visiting an Alfa Dealer looking for a lost key. The mechanic came out with a huge quantity, all in custom cases, like a Snap On socket set.
Mind you, don’t bother searching. Get a tyre dealer to remove all four bolts, then fit normal Alfa bolts.
Locking bolts are a waste of time, cause more grief in the motor trade than all the other car problems put together.

I did the same..
I considered buying a tool to remove them, but tried a local tyre first place instead.
As it took them under 5 minutes to remove them, free of charge!
Bought them a beer.
Replaced the locking nuts with standard ones instead from eurocarparts. An old car. Not worried.
