Windscreen has got lot of very small chips in it, probably mainly due to trackwork.

Anyway, i had heard about some putty stuff that you apply that kind of fills these in, or was i being told a load of BS ?

Failing that, am i looking at a new screen ??, if so, i have heard that there can be problems with this, as they are stressed, and if not fitted correctly, can crack easily ??

How much is a screen for a GT3 BTW, and is it just from a normal windscreen supplier, or do i have to go to an OPC ??

Any advice welcome.

If the stone chips "accidentally" turn into small cracks....you can normally get it repaired free by your insurance company or get a replacement fitted for your 50 or 60 quid odd windscreen excess...

Glenn, sometimes I get the impression you just love spending money?

Certainly an 'accidental' crack in the windscreen and £50 excess is going to be much easier to swallow that the price of the windscreen. A friend of mine has just been quoted £2300+VAT for his F355. Luckily a big stone hit it and he paid £50.

I think if you want to have it repaired you need to get it done very very soon afterwards, and cover it up with plastic as soon as it happens. Ring autoglass or whoever does it to check.
