Hey, never posted on here, so would be gratful for anyone's advice or knowledge.
I'm looking at buying a Bentley GT W12. I'm looking at either a 2013 plate model, or should i spend the extra and get a 2016 face lifted model. As it's my first Bentley Im not sure if it's worth spending the extra £18k for the newer model. Both are from Bentley dealers with full bentley services and warranty.
I love the look of both cars. Apart from the face lift, are there any other differences between the cars? Same engines etc?
Any put falls i should consider about owning a Bentley. The 2013 i can add an extra years warranty at the time of purchase to give me two years. The 2016 I can add three years if I wish.
I'd be grateful for anyones views. It's a big purchase for me either way, but just trying to gauge if it's worth spending the extra, it just stick with the 2013 for now and then change it two years or so.

Thank you for reading.

Get the 2013 extend the warranty & then see if you really like the car, if after a year you're really enjoying the car then consider going for the facelift, yours will be still worth a fair bit especially with a year warranty left.

They're an epic car but they can have costly issues (they're are any massive catastrophic things but pretty much everything is engine out) hat without a warranty would give even the thickest of wallets a workout smile

Enjoy the car.

Oh I don't know, I had a GTC from 2015 and always thought the new one looked sharper. You should defo sit in both as, model dependent you won't notice a lot of performance difference (ie if similar spec there really is no night and day), it's more the interior you'll notice. They're both lovely.

Mine was fab, bumper to bumper warranty and still some fairly hefty general running costs, but Bentley were great to deal with. One slight rattly seat and both fronts, the whole rear and all door cards replaced beause you wouldn't want a new part to stand out.

If the main consumables are in good order and you've got a proper warranty, they're not hugely expensive to run. Depreciation was very good on mine, but odd market timing of late helped.

I don’t know about the W12 Speed specifically, but there were only really minor changes on the V8 after the facelift, just bumpers, boot, wheels and interior armrests, not much else and nothing mechanical/chassis wise I believe.

Thank you for your reply! I'm back to the drawing board now as I've had two very different responses 😂 but i do honestly thank you both for replying to me. I do like the face lift model, the one I'm looking at is a 2016 year against a 2013 year. As you say, both of stunning either way, but the 2016 has the edge. I've been dealing with Bentley Cambridge so far who have been so very helpful. The 2016 one is at Bentley Chelmsford. Either way it's alot of money to pay and as I'm buying it out right, I do want to me sure i make the right decision!!!
It is a tough one.
Thanks again for your help and taking time to reply
