Aegon Retiready - dire website
Discussion
5 years ago, I had the misfortune of being with an employer that used Aegon for their workplace pension - the website was dire then, and when I left the employer, I transferred my pot away at the very earliest opportunity.
Nothing seems to have changed now that I've started with a new company that also uses the Retiready platform for their workplace pension
Everything seems to be slow, two factor authentication doesn't work, and continual website server errors/time-outs.
I've tried different browsers, operating systems but nothing seems to improve it
Anyone else having success with this poor excuse of a platform?

Mrs_Shtu went through several months of utter hell trying to get basic information from Aegon that they're legally obliged to provide, to the extent they eventually had to pay compensation.
They of course blamed their utterly pisspoor behaviour on covid.
Transferred everything away to another provider as soon as it was possible to.

My work pensions are on this platform, I can't say I've noticed anything particularly terrible (other than the values) but then I don't look at it very often (too depressing to see how little I'll get vs. what I put in) and I haven't tried to do anything complicated.
I did have a row with them about post. For years, they would send letters out without the initial, just addressed to "Mr <Surname>"* - and at the time my Dad was still here at the same address and there would be some confusion about who the letter was for. I contacted them to complain about it, to point out how ridiculous it was that they're sending letters out containing financial information without addressing them properly, and they made an excuse and blamed the IT system. Their response included "The letters we send are automated and our system doesn’t allow us to generate these including the initials. This is something we’re aware of and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. I appreciate you’re disappointed with this process. However, we don’t currently have any plans to change this."
I hate it when other people do it, but I couldn't stop myself replying "As someone who has worked in IT for 20+ years, that's rubbish" or a more polite version of that. It took them years to address the letters properly.
( * Obviously they put my surname, not just "Mr Surname".)
