Just idle curiosity, but has anyone on here ( builders, tradesmen, architects, etc.) been inside this place? I would be interested to know just how bad/ pokey it really is!

Do you mean cottage?

Not just you that is curious. The standard photo of the cottage doesn't look appealing

Frogmore House is rather grand!

Well if Prince Andrew doesn't want it, I'm sure there will be plenty of people who want a free house in central London. Get it on the council housing list.

I don't disagree but Frogmore is on the Windsor estate. Calling it central London is a bit of a stretch.

Certainly pokey. Only 10 bedrooms and 30 acres. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Yeah but there's a point to be made. When did 25 miles or an hour in traffic ever stand in the way of one of those?

I don't know where the royal estates are, apart from Buckingham palace and Holyrood laugh

Absolutely true, some things never change, sadly.

I grew up very close to it (within a mile), and poked around a bit outside because one of my schoolmate's Dad worked as a groundsman in Windsor Great Park and we used to follow him around a bit during school holidays for something to do, sneaking about places where we probably shouldn't have been (it was the 1970s, no-one gave a monkey's). I've even sneaked a game on the Royal Household Golf club course alongside it. I never went in the cottage itself, but it is what ordinary people would consider a large house from the outside. I've no reason to suspect it's "bad" or "pokey" inside, but of course a member of the Royal Family who grew up in a Palace rather than the Victorian terraced house I grew up in would have a different perspective.

He's probably an estate agent.

I believe it was actually four separate dwellings which were converted into one for the duke and Duchess of Netflix

Meant to add, I wouldn't want to live in it myself. Heathrow flightpath. Don't think I could stand to live anywhere in Windsor again, because of the racket.

Only serves to prove what an odious, entitled and completely lacking in self awareness prick Andrew truly is.

People are struggling to heat their homes, and he is ‘not happy’ about having his allowance cut and being forced into a 10 bedroom ‘cottage’

Charles hasn’t gone far enough here…
