....at a speed not unadjacent to 100mph. Centre section of splitter and black grill are no more!
Piers, if its the bit between the two front RS splitters, its a standard 993 along with the black grill. Might not be too expensive...Second hand Maybe?
Thanks Dave, that's good to know. The 2 front RS splitters are brand new so lucky I scored a direct hit!
Leave it to hang for a day or so then skin and gut. A fairly simple stew with thick cut carrots and potatoes. Cornflower to thicken the gravy and make sure you cook it slowly so the meat jumps off the bone.
If you really want to treat yourself some nice dumplings to soak up the gravy would top things off a treat.
Ran over a Rabbit at Snetterton last year right on the start finish straight. He`d been there for a while so centred him up on the car, the front splitter lifted his ears up a bit apparently but he managed to hop off.

I'm sure the rabbit is devastated by your unexpected financial loss.
I'll have to ask the recently widowed Mrs Rabbit for a contribution.
A bit of sensitivity wouldn't go amiss. I wouldn't mention the necessary bodywork!
She's probably glad to see the back of him - the way he was staggering around in the road, I'm sure he was drunk!
Last week I saw a pigeon take off from the central reservation and fly across the path of a white van doing circa 90 mph. It disappeared in what looked like an explosion at a pillow factory. Flight capabilities fatally effected it tossed across the road like a bouncing bomb in to my lane where I went over it with my left side rear ( 295 x 30 R18’s ) Made a surprisingly loud pop and a hell of a mess on my alloy too.
I'll see your rabbit and raise you a big pigeon.
Mrs pheasant decided to attack my MB not long back. It swooped down towards the road and I thought (hoped) it'd gone under the front ns wheel as there was only the slightest of thuds from that direction. No chance, but I only found out on arrival back home.
Bird had decided to have a go at the front nearside headlight (tail section) and grille (head section). Shattered the headlight cover which held together thanks to Armourfend, took the grille out completely and also thanks to slowly cooking juices - a tensioner pulley failed (seized) a few days later and then fell off on the way to buy a new one to stop the squealing.
The pheasant had nestled next to the rad on a bracket and had cooked slowly on the remaining 60 miles of the journey. Later found it must have either 5h1t itself just before impact or the act of assbutting my ns light cover had caused an immediate evacuation of the bowels, along the full length of the passenger side doors. Must've had a damn good last meal. Spent weeks cleaning blood guts and feathers from the engine bay.
Also ran over a pussy in the 911T, it was unhurt but that's another story. Sympathies to all similar sufferers.

all very amusing - my alloy was a real state. Not actually bloody but brown guts and fluff stuck all across the hard to reach inner face. For such a small creature it really made a hell of a mess, only a pressure washer could shift it. I don’t feel too bad, probably dead before I hit it. Anyhow I’ve earnt payback on all avian life following the pasting my 996TT took in Rouen over Easter. I (unwisely) parked under a tree in opposite a berry bush !
Driving through France at pace one evening en-route to Follembray / champagne weekend and hit a badger in the RS. The smell was horrific (it was a French badger), the whole car shuddered, and there was an almighty bang. I sent the missus out to survey the damage, (well I wasn`t going to get out just in case the Badger was still alive and pissed off with me).
Long and short of it the bumper grille needed popping back together but that was it. So either 964 RS`s are as hard as nails or French Badgers are soft as sh*t.
The story has a happy ending - we weren`t late for dinner and had a lovely meal then retired to the bar for a couple of swift pints before hitting the sack.

Hit a deer once at speed in my dads BMW, went over the bonnet & through the windscreen, missing me by inches. Very messy & could have been very fatal (for me) !!
Tip with Deers...they often move in pairs or 3's, so if you see one running accross the road and you think its safe then chances are a few seconds later there will be another one running accross so watch out !
