Just listening to an interview on the radio with Alfie Boe.
He used to be a trainee mechanic at TVR in Blackpool.
Interesting but ultimately a useless fact.
There's obviously lots more.......

Comedians Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson worked as plasterers (perhaps where the inspiration for Harry Enfields 'Loads of money' character came from).

Many years ago Paul Whitehouse was on The Big Breakfast, and they had him plaster a wall while they interviewed him. He still had the skills.

He qualified as a junior doctor and worked at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. He is still registered as a doctor with the GMC

Salaries for serial killers are pretty low nowadays but I plan on doing it for my love of the craft, more than the remuneration. I’ve got it all planned out. Do you want to see my Gantt chart? I could meet you somewhere dark and remote.

Dave spikey had a 30 year career in haematology - he was Chief Biomedical Scientist at the Royal Bolton Hospital when he finally went full-time in comedy with Phoenix Nights.
