Just picked up this little number:

http://www.aceparts.com/images/Squishy/Squishy%20025.jpg

and wanted to get this http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/48983.htm

to go with it, but i'm worried that

a) It won't fit in the front of a 993
b) If I park it outside play group, I might return to find the wheels missing and it up on Duplo
c) Might get cut up by parents with lesser sets of wheels.

Congrats on the squishy Alan!

And the pushchair looks good - wheels would even match your car!

Thanks, it was easy!

But would it fit?

Very many congratulations.

However, I really hope there is a better solution to the pushchair problem, as those Porsche ones are dog ugly.

Like the turbo wheels though.

I'm led to believe this will fit, and is "cool" (i.e. one to be seen in at daycare...)

OK I agree its cool. I think I need to get one.

Just one piece of information missing from that website - the price!

The "problem" will be that the car seat you need to go with it (for <9 months old) will only fit in the front seat. So any other adult(s) will be ion the back ...

Edited to add: its £135, I'm definitely getting one ...

Edited further to add: I have bought one ...

Edited still further to add: and its arrived, very cool, but not that small, quite small, just not ... tiny

VS, you're right.

I'm gonna get the quinny and then bling it up with some porsche pushchair wheels off ebay and a set of ovals.

Saving up ...

aceparts - you can get the Quinny here:

https://shop.babyworld.co.uk/Default.aspx

Sure you know, but you also need the appropriate car seat for a newborn. Might be worth checking that will fit before you go ahead - the seat belt length is sometimes an issue.

Congrats Ace. Hope ace junior doesn't spin as often as his Dad!!

Length is indeed an issue
Seriously though, danww is right. Make sure you get a baby seat first otherwise getting a pushchair that fits may be academic. We couldn't get a 0-9mth baby seat to fit in my 993tt but now that our baby is 9mths we switched to a front facing seat that fits in the 996tt (see my previous posts).

Congratulations on the new arrival, gorgeous.

Was in Halfords the other day and they do spinners for those wheels.

Now you`ll be well supported in your old age !

I had a further thought about this, which is that somehow you will need to turn off the front passenger airbag.

I understand from a bit of digging that you need some sort of widget from Porsche to do this and that this may or may not be dependent upon using a Porsche child seat - couldn't work out the answer this question.
