Heard / felt about 5 minutes ago in North Oxfordshire. Impressively loud!

Sorry forgot to mention, heard it in east Leicestershire. Shook houses and all neighbours outside checking and house alarms going off.

Given the reports on Twitter from Leicestershire, Northants and Oxfordshire it has to be. Two loud bangs less than a second apart.

Either that or Northampton is now a smoking hole in the ground...

There’s a Dash 8 near Luton squawking 7600 that went over Oxford, could be related if there was a QRA?

Definitely looks like it.

We’ll they were chatting away just fine to the typhoon pilot after it went past popping flares out!!

My pal was saying they were sounding very blasé on the radio.

He reckons they were both fast asleep.

Yes, however Meteor replaced AMRAAM for medium range duties. Sidewinder is a short range system, but Typhoon carries ASRAAM for this role.
