When did the L O T U S on the back of the car become a badge? I've seen a black 111S registered earlier than another 111S, but the later one has the L O T U S and the black one has the badge in the middle?!?
I think they put the badge on around mid 2003 - mine has one - registered in Sept. 2003.
It would seem in the last 6 months (if that) they have reverted back to L O T U S due to customer comments.
Ok thanks. Interesting they have gone back to the original style. Not sure which one I like best.

I'm changing mine as I only have the Lotus Badge, I prefer the Lotus across the back

Mate of mine has a new 111R which had the badge. He got the dealers to put the lettering on at the first service.

According to my dealer, the badge was introduced for the 04 model year then retrieved to the letters for model year 05 to please the american market which prefer the letters (probably they don't recognise the badge...)
