Any recommendations for some casual shoes to be worn with Jeans. Something comfy for walking around, driving etc, but not necessarily proper trainers.

Like this:
https://www.sportsdirect.com/adidas-copa-super-tra...

Or this:
https://www.mastershoe.co.uk/merrell-mens-intercep...

Or this:

https://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/SK1296?istC...

But there must be some better options? I don’t want suggestions for brogues or similar!

Unfortunately you are going to get recommendations from men who have clearly given up on life and believe the following sort of thing are suitable.

Then you will get the sort of people who wear these to coffee and machines type meets

That covers a large percentage of the recommenations you will get.

Have a look at Adidas 'Jeans' trainers, casual, comfy for driving and good with jeans.

Good call, if you like the retro look you could also try Asics Mexico 66 although they are pretty pricy now

Adidas Hamburg are nice, similar to Jeans.

It is now!
I also recommended a couple of brands suitable for youngsters as I am assuming the op has only just started buying his own shoes.

Accupuncture, very comfy if you can find them. Not the shower sandles w nubbins under your feet, the '90s brand with the A in a circle logo.
