I’ve seen this and having done a little research it would appear they’ve had it up for sale since August 22.
That’s along time to have the car, anyone know anything about it? Happy for you to PM me if you don’t want to post on the forum.

It has been around a long time and I do feel it is the interior that kills it. It would have been much easier on the eye if they had chosen a different colour stitching than red on red. a thick black stitch would have broken things up a little.
The green one in the photos is a much nicer car to my eyes.

Could it perhaps be, that the Spicy Red interior, might not be to everybody's taste?
That said its only half spicy red, half obsidian (I think rather than pure black), but either way I like it and its a LOT less in your face than a full spicy red interior would be. Suits the external colour too....

Yup, I agree with that! So many badly specc'd cars out there, often let down by something as simple as this, which would have cost nothing at all extra, other than time and thought.I know the dealers specced 95% of them, but thats little excuse, of all the people they really should have known how to put together the an attractive and saleable combo.

Agree with both of you - I think also given my fetish for Alcantara that having the majority of the seat in Black ( and certainly the seat backs ) with then the spicy red as the secondary colour in Leather would have helped too.I know the dealers specced 95% of them, but thats little excuse, of all the people they really should have known how to put together the an attractive and saleable combo.

Thanks all for the fast responses. It does seem a long time to have sat around.
I actually think the combo looks quite good abut wonder if such a bright red would be fatiguing to sit in over longer distances. I wonder how accurate the colour is captured in the photos compares to in the flesh. Brighter or softer in the flesh?

Didn't Nick's old DBS have red and black seats or was the red Chancellor ?
Either way they looked fantastic in the flesh.

Although there were tandoori jokes, I thought it looked good.
Think it was the extensive Alcantara seating, that probably made the difference.
( Photos might appear. )

I’ve not seen many Vanq’s from the factory with them though.

Don’t know the car, but the interior and the fact it’s 6 speed, without super low mileage are probably the big factors. For 10k more you’re looking at the 8s car with a less garish interior. Obviously immaterial if you don’t have the extra 10k - I realise!
From what I’ve read the mileage is spot on to keep the car ‘healthy’. We are talking just over 3k miles a year which is nothing, in fact anything less would concern me. My old 348 used to only give me trouble when I didn’t use her frequently c in fact my Series 2a is exactly the same.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
