How do all

Just about to buy myself a Monaro - can't believe what good value these things are!
Amazing why so many other folk don't have them!

Have had Yank tanks with the small block motor so know that they are basically reliable but would be interested in general feedback & experiences of the car.
I'll be aiming to get an '04 333 5.7 I would think.

Oh, sorry bud! Hope you didnt mind me asking!

Well, as for the Motor, same model as i currently have & ive seriously not looked back! Its been played with a little bit which add to the grin, but to behonest the overall package of car is gorgeous! Its gets lots of attention everywhere i go, alot of bikers show interest & chat to me about it!? The only running costs if find myself accounting for a re tyres & fuel... which cant be bad for a car with this sort of performance...

there are however lots of areas you can upgrade and im sure many on here will advise you further, but for me i love em to bits!

Hi BigNige

I bought a CV8 (5.7) about 2-3 months ago & its the best thing I've done as its a great performer for the money plus it is a rare site on the roads.

I know very little about them but there is a wealth of knowledge on the forum, with the likes of tuning companies & top men who own or work in Approved Monaro dealers

good to have you on the forum. I have the same car, just planning the upgrades (catback exhaust remap and ripshifter along with some simple cosmetics: badges and rocker covers).

Great cars to drive (a little on the heavy side, but you must be used to that).
See you soon at a meet perhaps

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

The bank phoned me back yesterday to tell me the facility has been agreed - wooooot

So, on me holibols for a couple of weeks and then I am going shopping baby!

Lance Owen are doing pre-reg ones for £24.5k which is pretty damned good and if they still have any I may go down that route.

Hey Neil,

I'm in Westcliff mate.

We'll have to meet and compare power bulges.

-------------------------

Just placed an order for a red 'un with Caspy (well, he took me money anyway... )

Test drive arranged for 11 Sept (after me holibols) and hopefully pick the motah up soon afterwards.

Wooohooooo!

Excellent stuff! Yep, we'll have to meet up some time.

Keep a look out locally for a silver one, it'll probably be me (or Mrs Rocket!) Haven't seen any others in our neck of the woods yet.

Good luck with the purchase!

Had the test drive on Sunday at Greens.

Woooo hooooooo

Loads of car for the money.
Dave (Brians sidekick) is knowledgeable and we spent a pleasant hour or so thrashing up and down various country lanes etc.
Very impressed.

So, I collect the car on Saturday.
Pics to follow.

Hurrah.
