After three months of constant oil leaks,my dealership told me there was not a problem with my car. I popped into the dealership told them that warning '0 psi' was showing. I asked if they could help, they told me to go to halfords and put some oil in as they had no courtesy cars. The car broke down on the way to halfords!!This was September 1st it stayed with dealership for 3weeks and is still at TVR. I had only had my car for two months and was forced to take my car in twice a week EVERY WEEK,roof stuck on,air con not working, scratches not filled, speedo not working, windows going up and down on there own, hazards coming on as im driving. Is this normal as the dealership refuses to give me a refund so I can buy a reliable TVR,can anyone advice?

yes - he's no more able to give you a refund to buy a Unicorn Farm - neither exist (* Joke - put yer voodoo dolls away and stop being so sensitive.. )

Sounds from what you say like your dealership are utter wakners and need a good kicking... Sending you to Halfords for oil fer chrissakes??? Talk to them tomorrow and if they refuse to satisfy you, call TVR in Blackpool and explain calmly to them how this dealer has acted - what they've said, done etc.. Mention Autocar, Which, Trading Standards and your father who sub-edits The Times if necessary.

If TVR know which side of their bread is buttered, they'll be making a call to that dealer telling them to get their feckin' finger out for being such poor respresentatives of the TVR Brand.

Of course, as much as you have steam blowing out of your ears with these fcukers (I know I would have) you need to be calm and reasonable - that way you at least have a chance of making your case and making it difficult for them.

It seems to me that TVR need to make much more of an effort to relate to their customers.. their record on post sales relations must lose them at least as much trade as any other single factor. Dealerships are either so badly briefed or so embattled with TVR that they consistently act like complete and utter bar stewards time after time. Customers come away with an impression of TVR as either suprememely arrogant or utterly ramshackle. IMO, Neither befits them and yet no other prestiege car manufacturer would dream of allowing its dealers to treat customers the way TVR do. Something's seriously wrong and it's hindering what is otherwise a supremely good brand and product.

Here endeth the consultation.

Good luck.
