Vanquish Gen 2 Brake Noise
Discussion
Picked up a 2013 Vanquish 2 on Friday, car in general is great however I am slightly unhappy with the noise during low speed braking. As this is my first car with carbon ceramics I am rather inexperienced with these systems and need some advice to see if this is abnormal.
At low speed braking applications under around 15 mph there is a fairly noticeable grinding/whooshing noise every time audible in the cabin and from outside the car. Noise is a bit like that heard during the first few braking applications after washing a car with conventional brakes but this noise doesn’t go away even after a long drive, so becomes tiresome in traffic etc.
At higher speeds the noise is not noticeable. I have searched the forum and can only see discussions about squeaking which I am not experiencing.
I have attached a few photos of the discs and pads in the hope of getting some opinions on whether they appear excessively worn or anything looks concerning. The disc surface itself feels smooth to the touch. The car itself hasn't done a lot of mileage in the last few years so not sure if it's something that would improve with more miles?
Thank you for reading.

I do remember a noise at low speed braking too in the early days, but don't really notice it any more. Probably more do do with it being drowned out by the squealing I get. However I do remember being told a bit of a 'whoosing' noise is normal, Think it was on one of Mike's (B.R) videos. The photos of your discs look good visually, shiny/smooth. Be careful the pads can reach end of life but thy will look like there is still material on them. Apparently the bronze pins come through and start marking the discs.
Do not want to scare monger but have a look at the previous post on PH.

A slight 'whooshing' noise at slow speed is a good thing with these ceramics. There is a Bamford Rose video which actually lists it as one of the checks a new owner should look for when buying a car with ceramics. Basically let the car trickle along in first but only on tick over( no revs being applied) and gently brake. You should be able to hear a gentle whoosh which is ordinarily not heard through normal driving.
Now it's a whooshing. Not grinding or scraping type sound.
I'm sure if you Google Bamford enough on brakes you will find the relevant video. It sounds like you have nothing to worry about
