Experience's with Volvo V40 T2 (1.6)?

Reaching out to the collective wisdom to see if anyone has first-hand experience with Volvo V40 T2's, the one I am looking at is of the 2014 1.6T rather than the 2.0T variety. It's a manual R Design model and from the pictures looks in very good condition, I haven't seen it in the flesh yet but should be tomorrow.
From a bit of googling, there doesn't seem to be many horror stories in terms of reliability.
The seller is AC and the car is in my opinion priced on the high side at just over £9K with 67K miles, but alas there are few others for sale the Mrs likes the look of within 50 miles that don't have over 100K miles or under what we would like to spend.
To be honest, there isn't much for sale locally (within 30 miles) in the <£10K bracket in the mid-size hatch and decent spec bracket. She currently has a 2015 mini cooper 1.5T, the mini is a great car and has a big spec as the first buyer picked a lot of options, but it's too small for ferrying the kids in around now as they get older.
I don't mind travelling for something more special making the journey worth it, but it's not for me, so local is a must on the chance we need to take it back for any sort of warranty work with the supplying dealer.
On paper, it looks fine, performance is OK but largely irrelevant as it will trundle about locally, the outside looks fine, the inside a bit nicer than the equivalent focus \ golf \ leon. MPG, hopefully much the same as her current 2015 1.5T mini cooper.

We had a 2017 T3 R design (2016 models and newer came with the nice Thor headlights).
We did have a T2 on loan and you could feel the difference in power. Think the R design maybe has the 6 gears compared to the momentum and the twin exhausts and body kit.
We went with the winter pack but didn’t bother with the sat nav and bigger screen as us waze anyway.

I bought a ex demo one a while back. Too new really for any issues at the time. There’s an active Facebook group for V40’s (Volvo V40 crew) that regularly report the door lock issue the previous poster mentioned plus they seem to snap coil springs for fun.
It drove nicely, quiet and refined although maybe a touch underpowered and in my opinion better built than the equivalent Golf, Focus etc
