It's just no good, I think I'm going to have to delete the S forums from my favourites!

Since parting with my V8S almost a year ago, I've dipped into the S forum from time to time, just to see what's going on, what new names are kicking around and if I can add to any of the discussions.

The trouble is we then get numerous threads on the likes of SCH3, with lots of cracking photos and personal accounts of the joys of ownership and driving these cars. It just makes me want to get another one! Stop it you lot.. NOW!!! It's not fair, my bank balance will suffer and the ever tolerant Mrs pstruck will probably leave home!

Well
Just to add fuel to the fire, have you noticed the 38 S series cars currently up for sales in classifieds.

Go on you know you want to.

Nice to hear from you Pete, shame you had to sell the S, get yourself another one, you know you want to??

Mine will never be sold I am sure, couldnt bear to part with it, which is why we are buying another car instead of the 'supposed' upgrade??? Was trying to get the wife to agree to a Cerb as the third car but as she will drive it mainly she is not having any of it....aw well maybe I can convince her next year?

Mike

Just buy her one a present on one of those special occasions...... surely she wouldn't be so rude to throw it back in your face

I noticed. Hmmmm, a little something to keep me out of mischief over the winter months - quite fancy a 'body off' restoration job!

Hi Steve,
I would but it aint me buying it, the wife is buying her own car?? I am in the fortunate/unfortunate position where my wife earns nearly as much as I do.........? Shes after a 911 so not a bad alternative I guess and as it will be used as a 2+2 transporting the kids maybe having traction control, ABS etc is a better idea especially when the wife is driving I remember when we had the Boxster, she was driving in the wet and the car gave a bit of a twitch around a bend when she put her foot down, she said "whats that" I said a little thing called 'PSM' that has just prevented us going into that bush........?

Hi Rich, you still looking into the S forums then...? Does that mean a return to an S at some point...? So hows your new beast these days

Later, we will have to have that beer...

Hi Mike,

As you can tell from the time it's taken me to reply, I do still drop in on the S forum, but my vists are somewhat infrequent. I do miss the S, but I don't think I'll be back in one in the forseeable future. The replacement "beast" has also gone now to fund a RAV4 for my wife, and I'm now running round in her old car. My only consolation is that I'm now working for Porsche so I do at least get some doses of top-down fun from time to time!

Still up for the at some point - I'm sure we'll be in the same vicinity at some point!

Cheers,

Richard

I'm not always late - I just don't want to seem too keen!

Things are good thanks. I still make it to the occasional Berks meeting, and have been to a couple of other events with Mike G recently (Stoke Row and Chobham) - must keep missing you. How's the international travel going - I hear you've been jetsetting a bit recently? Say hi to Joely for me.
