992 Turbo S rear spoiler
Discussion
Hoping someone can help with this one!
Was in my father-in-laws new 992 turbo s yesterday and noticed that when we stopped, the rear spoiler stayed up when parked. We can go into the console screen, select "Car" and manually lower/raise it but I'm sure with older 911s it did this function automatically?
Also noticed the engine has a very distinct rattle on idle which is definitely not something we can hear on the other 911s - is this normal on this variant or something we should get checked out? - I think it's only got 50 miles on the clock and been used once!

Was the weather bad? If the car was in 'Wet' mode the spoiler will stay up but when you drive off in the morning it will revert to the closed position.
Not sure what other 911 engines you are comparing with but there is the usual direct injection 'ticking' noise on tickover. Best get it checked if unsure - another reason for a drive.

ah ok, thank you gred - that is definitely something to look out for.Not sure what other 911 engines you are comparing with but there is the usual direct injection 'ticking' noise on tickover. Best get it checked if unsure - another reason for a drive.
Was comparing it to a 991 Speedster, I know it's a different engine but it just sounds so much smoother whilst being much throatier too. The Turbo S engine noise wasn't so much a tick on idle, more of a rattle - as you say - best to get it checked out.
