I have acquired this sweet little 34mm dial watch, branded Aston Martin on the face, backplate and clasp but can’t find out anything about it.Does anyone have a recollection of a promotional giveaway or corporate gift which may add some provenance to this watch?

Quartz Movement and Sapphire Crystal , at 34mm Watches of this size are usually for the Ladies marketplace . I would date it to the very late Eighties possibly 1990 and around £500 with the right Buyer .

Thanks reddeisel
Its got an ETA 251.471 swiss v8 23 jewel chronograph quartz movement. Definitely looks like a quality ladies watch.

It would be nice to know s bit more about its affiliation to aston martin.

Try the Watches forum too.

It doesn't look very ladylike or feminine to me, more like a knuckleduster!

I would like to know more too Ian . Aston from time to time have various tie ups with various Watchmakers and for various reasons . New Models , Anniversaries , James Bond etc etc . Ferrari , Bentley and some other quality Manufacturers do much the same thing . You may as Simpo suggests have some luck on the Watch Forum , I suspect that if the \Watch was emblazoned with Rolex or Cartier your task may have been much easier . I am hoping someone turns up in due course with some more information .

The first thing I thought when I saw that was how similar it looks to the Gayden era Model dash instrument cluster (speedo etc)

An enquiry to Aston Martin Heritage Trust, would probably discover more.
Expect they would know exactly when Aston Martin commissioned that watch and maybe other information.
It was possibly sold new with an descriptive booklet.

Yes, I think you might have spotted the connection.
Perhaps the watch was issued in 2005.
Wonder if there were versions for man and lady.

That would be an interesting 'battle of the brands' - do Rolex or Cartier need to put 'Aston Martin' on their products? I suspect not.

I dont think I suggested anyone " needed " to do anything . I merely pointed out to the OP that because both Brands Rolex and Cartier have an avid following , his task of tracing his Watches history would have been much easier than it is now .

Here is one for your Christmas Stocking . Just think , potentially you could own the only one in Norfolk .biglaugh
