I can't say I'm surprised if there are governance issues given the hubris on display for the last several years. That FT puff piece around when Anderson was stepping down was practically nauseating. It's essentially ARKK for British boomers, wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

I did have some money in SMT and I got it out at 1400p and thought at the time that I'd panic sold (and to be fair I had).

Watching what it did after that really was a lesson and helped shape my investing habits.

I’ve got quite a lot of cash in my SIPP in SMT. I’m down quite a lot which doesnt matter as I cant touch the money for 20 years. Could this recover over the long term? Or is it time to realise the loss and move to something safer.
