I don't know if this has been done to death or not, I'm not going back over 200 odd pages!
After many years of thinking about it, I am now in a position to buy my first Ferrari:) Problems: - 1. Garage too small for any Ferrari. 2. Four seats would be handy, two children.
I think the 456 is a beautiful understated car,and with a Ferrari V12, does it get any better??:driving:
What I need please is opinions, views, advice such as: Should I go for a 456M (more expensive) is it better/worth the difference? Reliability? Known problems? Etc.?
And I want a manual.
Many thanks,
Vince

Vince- I have an early 'M' and the last ca. 5 yrs ownership costs are in my profile. Personally, I think the M is worth the difference (well, I would say that) but finding a manual will be the issue. When I got mine, it was the only manual for sale in the country; I never intended to buy a red one, though I'm now glad I did. Most cars (>80% of the early ones) were auto, though I've noticed more manuals among the later cohorts. Personally, I don't like the auto at all.
