Hi all,

Got a lease car and want to stick one of those mobile phone disks on the dash to
mount a mob phone holder, any suggestions for a glue/adhesive that wont mark or
damage the dash when removed, I was thinking of using a silicone sealer but don't know
if it will leave any marks

Any suggestions welcomed, it's a Audi A6 if that makes any difference.

No help to you, but I've long thought that car manufacturers should all be providing a smooth 3" circle moulded somewhere on the dash as standard.
I think drivers were saying similar about heaters/radios/seatbelts in the 60s/70s tbh so we must be patient, it might yet happen.

Maybe something like Sugru would do it. It's a kind of adhesive putty, which is removable.

An alternative solution is to get a rubber mat with the plastic circle in the middle. I use one in my van and it holds the Satnav perfectly.
£6 from eBay!

If you stick it down for any amount of time it will likely affect the dash and also show some discolouring where UV effects the dash.

Go with a vent mounted clip on or similar and not something that will risk damaging the car.

That's seems like a contradiction, given that lots of cars have broken vent fins from those clips.

Can anyone recommend a vent mount that grips the sides of the vent, rather than the fins?
