This morning at 8.10am whilst travelling at 30mph, I was overtaken by someone travelling at at least 40mph on a road approaching a local school. At this time in the morning kids are being dropped off by their parents and there is a lot of activity outside the school. This road has a long straight before the school which is situated just beyond a (blind) corner. WHY on earth are speed camera''s and traffic slowing devices being put up on roads such as the three lane sections of the A3, when raods such as this are being overlooked. I do not have kids and this really got my back up...I feel for those who have, and have to try to teach their kids to look out for lunatics like this (I hope that they are !). Rant over...

Company car driver then ?!?! IMHO the reason they don`t target the schools is because they get Far more people(And Money -safety is waaay down the list) on A roads that they have set to 40 limits (Signs hidden behind trees)... They would also end up nicking the Mums 3 days running, they`d all lose their licenses. In all Honesty though I have seen Mobile Plod with Gun outside of a school in Billericay.. Shame it was a SUNDAY... Edited by Jason F on Friday 20th July 17:43

mum's losing licenses - superb!! I saw an article in last week's paper stating that 20% of traffic at 8.50am is school traffic. If they all lost their licenses I'd spend less time in traffic every morning on my way to work! CJ
