Probably best just to do a search...been covered many times.
Personally I used MSM as they offered me the what I needed at a good price.They mirrored my no claims from my main car ,didn't restrict my mileage to a measly amount and were amongst the cheapest for me as I was a TVR virgin.

Whilst some insurers will offer 'special' (ie 'cherished', 'modern classic' etc) policies for later cars, most classic policies require the car to be 10, 15 or even 25 years old. So the older the car, the greater the choice of policies.

You seem to be quoting a very similar age, insurance risk, mileage etc. to myself.

FWIIW, the best deal I found by far, this year, was with Classicline (tel. [phone]). Limited mileage 'classic' policy, 5K miles per annum, garaged, was a little over £400 a year on a '93 Griffith 500.

Disadvantage is that the Griffith must be a second car (ie. you have use of an everyday 'primary' vehicle - a company car in my case), but on the other hand, you don't need to use your NCB.

Hi, just bought a Griff myself and only had 1 set of NCB to use which was tied up on main car (Alfa 145 hatch). Had lots of trouble gettign a classic policy as I don't have a garage. Specialists also wanted me to have had the car a year so wouldn't quote

In the End Elephant agreed to mirror the NCB from my main policy if I insured my Alfa with them first. Did this and now get two sets of insured FNCB! paid £660 for the TVR. Should come down next year as I should be able to a specialist!

V similar to myself. Got the Griff in May this year - '98 500. 4k miles p.a.,garaged,insured in wifes name with me as a named driver (she has fill NCB I have none as a Co car driver), less than £400 from Peart.

I'm i my second year of griff ownership i use all my ncb on the tvr (9 years) no points just paid £350.00 to direct line with milage set at 6k

In the end fella I paid 414 quid with footman james who used to insure my Lotus sunbeam. Alot more accomodating than the others
