T350C - Speed 6 or AJP8?

I notice there are no shots of the T350C with it's bonnet open. I also notice there are a couple of humps in the bonnet which are either just a nice bit of styling or are there to accomodate a pair or rocker covers! Could the Tamora Coupe be V8 engined? It would make some sense. It would distance it from the Tuscan and the engine is already race-proven if TVR are aiming to replace the Tuscan racers with Tamora Coupes.
By the way, I think all the cars (from the pictures) look stunning and TVR are definitely back on track styling-wise. If I could afford it I'd have a T350C!

I'm no expert but I doubt it. The pricing is the clue. I doubt TVR would charge 37000 quid for an AJP8 powered car when this engine is seen as "the daddy"
The Cerbera is the only AJP8 powered car and its 45000 odd quid.
Also the name T350R would indicate either a 3.5 litre engine or 350bhp.

TVR's new web site www.tvr.co.uk confirms that it is the same straight six as used in the Tamora.

I think the new car looks the business when I can afford it, i'll get one. I would really be more excited though if it engine in that was good for 80000 plus with only regular servicing as my Griff(60000).
Hopefully there will be posts indicating 50000 plus examples of SP6 by the time I am ready to buy.

Little beats the aural delight of an AJP in flight.
However, it's reticence at sub 150mph speeds makes it less user friendly than the SP6 design so I doubt TVR will follow such a path.
But I share the interest in a power hike for this gorgeous coupe.
Then again, have any PHers maxed a Tamora yet? The blurb reckons 175+ which is hardly the stuff of Wintonesque proclivity anyway. And more significantly, what's stability like up there?

Here in Germany I have had 165mph (digi display) in the Tamora-it felt as if it was not taking off like my Griffs did at any speed above 140mph so I guess the rear spoiler and maybe even the diffusor do work. BUT there was still too much tendency to move around sideways requirng constant steering adjustment. Could that be simply the suspension/tyres? A 996C2 at this speed was much more stable. Still prefer the Tamora though. Wiil the Coupe really be better in this respectfrom the shape of the rear?

I think you should talk to the chaps at Gemballa, RUF, TechArt, CarGraphic or RS Tuning to see if they can't liberate that extra 'oomph' from our favourite national breed! The Tamora 200 sounds so appropriate.

Up to now I have not suffered the ignominy of being overtaken on the couple of occasions I have driven so fast. I would definitely not argue though with an SL55AMG for example- just pull over
I normally do not exceed 130mph due to traffic/speed restrictions. One thing I can say is that from ca. 100mph to 140mph the Tamora has the drop on an M3(343PS version)
The Tamora is wonderful but a little more high speed stability would make it even better.

Tell you what, though, Jezza - it'd be a helluva scrap to behold, no? I'm not convinced it would be SUCH a walk over having read about the Brabus CV creation v. Cerb RR in EVO a while back.

Up to 100pmh SL55 AMG vs Tuscan S or 4.5RR Cerbera TVR ahead- look at the figures a good Tuscan S/RR 4.5 is 9 secs to 100mph the SL 55AMG is I think 10-10.5. HOWEVER 100-150 or 100- 180mph I think the Merc would eat the TVRs for breakfast. A German mag tested the SL55AMG(500PS)against Porsche GT2/Lambo Murcielago and I believe Ferrari 575 Maranello 0-180+mph the Merc had them all by a number of seconds!!!
