I'm at two minds over Donny this year, as last year it was so bad. Last 4 posts here:

and not much love here either:

Not sure if I'll go or not at the moment.

Hmm. As a day visitor most recent years I have to say the Saturday in 2004 was a good day and I thought the 3 laps in a Caterham was excellent value - though the queue was a bit long by the time I got there.
Good weather helped.
I can imagine the problems for the campers, though there are some regulars out near the helipad area next to the main padock entrance road.
Last time I passed by the Exhibition hall a few weeks ago I noticed that the Auction company seems to have become ever more ubiquitous and there is now a fully fenced compound on the hardstanding opposite the hall's main entrance. Whether that can be adapted when other shows are on I don't know. Looks pretty solid to me. Also it does nothing for the scenery.
Give it another year and I think it might be difficult to find anywhere to park, let alone camp, near to the Exhibition hall. It remains to be seen what the planned winter track pit and paddock re-development will amount to.
Must confess when I didn't see the Kit show on the Donington Park events schedule I assumed it was not happening this year.
