Did anyone else watch this last night ? I didnt see all of it, but some appalling blunders by the Police involved. And why was the low life Guede released so soon....

I'm not sure I want to watch it - I read into her murder many years ok and documentaries since, especially the Channel 5 ilk tend to focus on Knox, Sollicito and to a lesser degree Guede.

Meredith tends to get forgotten as being the actual victim of it all.

Tragic set of events, undoubtedly caused by Guede and then compounded by the police and media.. Must be horrific for her family.

Exactly. I'm not one for having a go at TV folk for making programmes about horrid events but it must be tough for them to see it endlessly dragged up.

Is there anything even new about the case? I thought it was all done and dusted years ago.

Yep.

I worked with Meredith's best friend and lived through some of the devastation to her friends and family first hand. The story very quickly became centred around the American woman and poor Meredith was almost forgotten.

I can't imagine what that must have been like.

Yes, Knox suffered badly too (as did Sollicito), but they weren't sexually assaulted and brutally murdered.

It's a sad thing that usually murder victims are forgotten but the murderer becomes infamous and well remembered.

Victims of serial killers are largely forgotten by the general public. I can name a few of Sutcliffe's victims, but can't off the top of my head name a Bundy victim.
