Issue with new car

Just bough a brand new car for my daughter.
After just over 1 week it was back in the garage with a faulty warning light.
After two more weeks in the garage still not diagnosed, suspected water intruding issues.
Sounds like a major quality issue to me that something could leave the factory like this.
Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who as any similar experience, recommendation and details on rights I have?
