Pre-owned Dealers reccomendations please? Tag Heuer Monaco
Discussion
Hi all, I've been sitting on the fence for a long time regarding getting myself a Monaco and it makes sense to start shopping a bit more seriously while my Senna Formula 1 seems to be worth what I paid for it.
With that in mind, any recommendations for dealers to look at please? Been looking at Watchfinder (I know) and Parkers in Sheffield. Any others I should look at?
Thanks

Any reason you've not tried C24?
Only because I don't know a great deal about the site and how it operates, and buying used I would probably lean towards a bricks and mortar seller. Happy to be guided by those with more knowledge/experience though.MrBig said:

I've bought and sold through chrono24 several times, top service (if a little pricy for the seller). I've stuck to European sellers. Also made one purchase through Watchfinder which also went through with no issue but the communication or lack thereof left me a little cold.
iconic watches in Blackburn, they are well regarded on review sites and normally have a lot of 2nd user watches across all brands, if not think they could track one down fairly rapidly. I purchased a new Tudor BB from them a few years ago and their sales service and comms were absolutely superb.

Have you ever worn a Monaco? It was my absolute grail, bought one, found it so uncomfortable I ended up selling within 6 months

Is there any sort of guarantee that the seller is legit and/or the watch isn't a replica? Or is just a feedback/reputation type system like ebay? Also made one purchase through Watchfinder which also went through with no issue but the communication or lack thereof left me a little cold.

A Shanghai snide in all its glory

Bought it a few years back for this very reason, and am happy that it’s comfortable. In my defence I don’t wear it out and if anyone asks about it I tell them the truth. I’m not proud of it, but it has served a purpose.
