Sorry, another thread from me... Can't help it. I'm all excited! Can you tell? In 24 hours, she'll be sitting on my driveway!

Anyway...........

I'm a little on the 'short' side at 5' 1 and 3/4"! When I drove her previously, I had to roll up a jumper behind me so that I could reach the pedals (please don't laugh)
I was thinking about getting an 'inner seat' type thing made (like you get when little people go karting?)
I'm sure there are some other short leg owners on the forum.... How do you manage? Any suggestions?

Get the pedal box lenghened and bent to a better angle.

You can also fit spacers under the seat to raise you up a bit.

Send Rooster an E-mail, shes on hols at the moment (back in about 7 days) but shes only about 5"2 ish and has had a number of mods done to her seat etc to enable her to fit properly, including longer runners and spacers to raise it plus pedal extensions etc.
Guarantee she won't mnd!

I'm a little unsure of wanting to put spacers in between the runners and seat.... It's gotta make it a little less secure surely? And for the slight height increase, I'm not sure I want to try that?

I mostly need to be more 'forward' if you know what I mean?! The pedal box seems a sensible idea though.... As does putting longer runners in...

The seat as you go closer to the steering wheel gets higher, this can be uncomfortable if the wheel is low so you can see over the top.

There was a "japanese" kit available at one point, this is basically tubes of metal fitted onto the runners, thus allowing the seat to be higher and still back so you dont hit the steering wheel with your knees.

I prefer being raised up by an inch or so as I got shoulder ache as my left arm naturally rests on the tunnel.

I am 5 foot 4.

I'm only about 2" taller than you and this was a serious concern for me after I'd test-driven my car. Whenever I thought about the car and the test drive my (exaggerated) recollection was that I almost felt as if I was lying on the floor under the dash trying to reach the pedals - if you understand what I mean. All I can advise is not to worry about it, you very quickly get used to it and TBH it's no bad thing that you have to stretch a bit to get the full travel on the accelerator!

The main problem I find is not being able to see the 4 corners of the car and the consequent difficulty in 'placing' the car on the road, in corners etc - but I reckon that's an issue for most people, unless they're very tall. I'm sure I'll get used to that too.

Post another message on this thread if you make any alterations and tell us how you feel about them.

Forgot to add: as you're female, your legs are probably at least as long as mine even though you're shorter overall - women have proportionately longer legs than men - so you shouldn't really have much of a problem.

Just drive it a while and see what you think.

TVR Booster seat from the factory (bought from TMS TVR, TVR car parts is there parts operation I think)- fits over the seat back and is a proper TVR made part the matches you upholstery. Also, she fitted the Leven "long" pedal kit
