Apparently it was a “High Voltage incident” effecting various clusters from North Yorkshire across down in to Wales.
What I found odd about this last night was that 1.5 miles east of us is Nottinghamshire, which was dark, and 1.5 miles north of us is South Yorkshire, which was also dark, (no haze from street lights).
Although I guess this is where I now find out that electricity supply isn’t based upon county borders?

It may have to pass through a number of counties between the place where the electricity is made and your house. What I found odd about this last night was that 1.5 miles east of us is Nottinghamshire, which was dark, and 1.5 miles north of us is South Yorkshire, which was also dark, (no haze from street lights).

I'm guessing you're within spitting distance of the three wind turbines then? What I found odd about this last night was that 1.5 miles east of us is Nottinghamshire, which was dark, and 1.5 miles north of us is South Yorkshire, which was also dark, (no haze from street lights).
