PORSCHE 911 TOPS CAR LIST

Motoring experts have named the Porsche 911 as the greatest-ever high-performance car.

I can see me having a good day today :D

Thanks!

Unless of course it draws in more of the type of tosser that wants one because it tops a survey like this, as opposed to the enthusiasts like us!

But just think what this type of individual does for us enthusiasts - he buys the car, sells it on in less than a year having run it in nicely for us as well as suffering the depreciation

I like to think of myself as both an enthusiast and a tosser.

Harrrrumph, "motoring experts" eh? Wonder if they were journalists who didn't know which end of a box wrench to use? The 911 is a great car, for sure, but it always makes me chuckle when I hear journalists trying to indulge in revisionist history, or pump their own preferences into the history books.

"The greatest ever" high performance car??????????? Sheesh, I always thought a Lamborghini Miura was a great one, I always thought the 427 Cobra was awesome, what about the Ferrari 250 SWB, what about the......aw....."the greatest ever high performance car". Great, fun, awesome, yes, but can't agree it's "the greatest".. Why you ask? Whelp, because they sound like a hair dryer, sheesh.

I only poke fun at the 911 guys because they're such a likeable bunch, and because I secretly would like to own a cherry 1973 911 from California, with low miles, only driven on Sunday by a senior mechanical engineer.....

An American who's never owned a 911. If he had he'd know it's all true

OK I'll start up my 911T sometime. When I do you'll hear it across the pond dogsharks and you'll think another fg hurricane is about to hit at the same time as an earthquake and nuke test
