What does your local car wash charge for a basic wash? External wash, average saloon car

Think it's £6 for a wash n wipe at the local Albanian specialists. £15 gets you a mini valet

Fortunately I drive a shed so my paintwork is crap and I'm not that bothered biggrin

My local outfit start at a fiver but the rate at which they wash is frightening. In typical fashion, they will use rags that have been on the floor so end up washing your car with a microfibre-gravel mix. You get what you pay for I suppose.

Our local ones have gone up from what used to be £5 to almost £18. Crazy money.

I do mine for free

It’s only cost me hundreds of pounds in products & equipment to be able to wash it for free

Used to take it to a village car wash, but last time it was like, £18 for a basic wash, so not taking it there again.
Tried a place in town that charges a tenner for which i get wheel prep, rinse, snowfoam, rinse, wash, rinse, and dry. Then windows cleaned, and door jambs wiped too.
Seems a pretty decent job so will go there from now on.

Paid £7 Saturday. Leeds. When I was back in Hampshire weekend before last it was £15 in the local Polish car wash.

I just realised the other day that I haven't seen one of the traditional car washes with big rotating brushes for ages. I think in this area they've all disappeared, all we have now are 'hand car wash' places and do-it-yourself jet wash machines.

Was £10, now £14 I think. I’ll pay rather than do it myself!
