Two weeks. To and from work, couple of trips, (10hrs and 4 hrs), off south for a fortnight tomorrow. Smooth, handles brilliantly, minor issue with rubber bonnet surround, door catch, and petrol tanker always in rear view! Not that it bothers me, but there is a huge difference (to be expected) in consumption from the 4.2 Cerb and 4.0 Chim. But performance - motorway, urban/congestion, excellent. Undefeated by speed bumps/car park entrances so far!!

Had it 5 months and it's been back at the factory for the last 2.5 months, in fact they have had it longer than me.

Sound like a normal TVR to me then. Half your owenership will be with TVR albeit, 50% engine/bodyworks/trim...
You pays your money and take ya chances... No TVR I have had had been any different...
BTW. I do love TVR's, its not a hate rant, I have had 4 so far...
Mr F
This is balls.
I don't know why, maybe it's a british thing but people love to moan about tvrs. If it's not the weather, the cricket, the royal family or the football, it'll be moaning about tvrs.
If you're looking to get a tvr I'd take it with a pinch of salt. Wierdly and perversely there is a hint of affection with most of the moaners. I don't get it so I can't explain it. But lots of people buy lots of tvrs on here (I salute all of you) but just enjoy moaning about them.
I sort of get it I think, it's like you have to take the piss out of your male friends in the UK. You can't go telling them you like them, they'll find it uncomfortable. You take the piss, they know you like them, it's unspoken, very british but still a bit wierd.
I still think 'Sportie's being a bit unfair though. What he hasn't mentioned is that his car has already been used for hillclimbs (great video by the way) so has had a harder than average life plus he left most of his bonnet in France.
See Sagaris month 1,2,3,4 reports for some more positive (but honest ie faults are included) reviews from lots of owners.
My car is one of the early ones and has been nothing but superb since the day I had it. I've already had some of the best, most intense driving experiences of my life.

OK sportie but forgive me if I've got this all wrong but you own one of the coolest, most exciting cars ever made and this is all you have to say about it to someone new to tvrs?

I think I'd I'd just spent £50K on a car, for only 50% ownership, I imagine that'd pretty much be the only thing I'd have to say about it too.
Had mine 3 weeks, now in for 1k service. I have to say that the car is great
Also on a more objective note, it is well put together and feels very solid. A few niggles and they are niggles, nothing different to buying any other car.
I'm getting it back this afternoon and will be enjoying stretching the engine a bit more...........
I can recomend it so far.

1500 miles. Booked in for the service on Tuesday.
Absoluely sodding brilliant motor car.
I cannot fault it in a single way, it does everything I ask of it. I also swear I felt the engine free up a little more today also.
Pits I take back nearly everything I ever said was bad about this car (lack of feel in the steering is still shite thogh) and accept you were right from the go. I now love the engine and the torque coming in at about 3k rpm. My self imposed rev limit is now 5500rpm and I rarely venture there, I cant believe that just 2 months ago 5500rpm was my lot in the Griff!
Had it next to dad's Boxster over the weekend and the difference in style was massive. Gris is in a different league.
With the Sagaris, TVR have finally made another car worth the sticker price.
This car really is *that* good.

Glad you're enjoying it as much as the rest of us seem to enjoy ours DJC. As mentioned before the looks are drop dead and then some, but it really is one of the few cars that doesn't disappoint when you get behind the wheel - unlike the usual italian exotics.
Porsche's are the opposite. They look rubbish and drive well.
That said, back to back driving a 996 turbo and the Sagaris, the TVR has far more feel and response. The 996 feels pretty heavy and for me at least has noticably less steering feel. The TVR is far closer to being in a caterham (the undiputed master of all things in communication and response).
Glad you're enjoying the S6. It really is one mother of an engine. It's close to what I imagine a spitfire's merlin engine would be like in a car. Endless, endless progressive power. Hair trigger throttle response. Insane power over 5000. Personally I'd recommend going a little further with the revs than 5500. Not trying to be cheeky, it's only that, on my car the engine gets noticeably smoother past 5. So much so I can't bring myself to floor it until I'm past 5 as it feels a bit rough. From 5 onwards the cam timing really starts to smooth everything out and the car pulls like a dream.
Can't agree with your steering comment though. It's one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to use.

The poor man is still running the car in!!!! Wait till after 2K miles before using all the revs!!!
On the steering feel, mine was a bit dead to start with, a follow on the 4 wheel alignment and it's come to life, with the large front tyres it is very sensitive to setup and half a degree makes a massive difference!
