Finally, ten months after ordering, my Mini E arrived on Monday. It's mostly going to be a city car so will be charged at home, but I might need to use public chargers on the odd occasion.
I know absolutely nothing about these so have a couple of potentially daft questions:

Can anyone use the Tesla Chargers now?

Which Apps do I need to install on my phone so I'm ready to go and not potentially stood on a serve station with a crap 3g signal trying to sort it out.

Thanks all.

1. A few specific ones, yes. Details of them here: https://www.zap-map.com/tesla-15-supercharger-site...

2. It'll depend entirely which networks you need to use, and which you want to use an App for. Not all need apps, some can just use contactless tap of your card, this is true for the more modern ones. You might want to try Electric Universe or Bonnet which cover multiple charge networks. But they may not cover the ones you're likely to use regularly. Best bet is scout it out, working out the ones you're going to use and download the apps if needed. ZapMap and ABRP are both good apps for planning trips.

Thank you, most helpful.
I imagine the only time a recharge will be needed is my occasional trip to Milton Keynes, so I'll have a look whats on the M1 about half way and go from there biggrin

Didn't they give you the Mini Charging card?

You can also use your Mini App linked to the Mini Charging account for that.

When I got the car there was one year free flat-rate subscription

Octopus Electroverse is a good one.

One card and access to 400k of chargers in UK and Europe, much simpler that multiple apps and cards.

No, no card that I've seen, but it is a lease so maybe it doesn't come with it? I shall investigate, tbh I've not opened the document wallet yet so might be in there biggrin

If it's a brand new Mini, it is eligible for a mini charging card and 12 months free subscription with charging at discounted rates in UK and Europe.

Had our Mini SE since last July and never used the BP Pulse charging card. Must remember to cancel it before July. I only use the Pod Point app ( for charging at Tesco) but do have the Electroverse App ( never used but got a free £10 credit) as I am an Octopus customer

I've added a calendar reminder to cancel next year!

Looked into the Octopus scheme as well, the charging offers are great. Car is compatible, but unfortunately our home charger isn't. It's quite an old, fairly basic one so by the time I've paid to upgrade to something smart I've probably ended up worse off.
