It started a 20 year passion for a group of people, so it would be great to know what happened to the 'original' idea.....

i sort of remember that old spitfire but i believe the next year they were in an estate cortina dect out in the silk cut colours and that showed up each year for some quite a few years

Also Messers Seymour Vadge and Waddington Minge with their gullwing door Maestros?

I think the estate car became a Volvo after the Cortina

I remember to robins in gulf colours and also that one of them was in silk cut livery one year

Different crew - our crew!

The spitfire started 20 years of Cortina’s, a Volvo and an XJ6.

But we never saw that spitfire again.
