The new 'man mathed' family wagon...
Discussion
So a quick background, I'm an Englishman living in New York for the last 8 years or so
My first car was an Audi S5 2012 with the V8, it was practice, comfortable, had enough tech for this luddite with Quattro for the snow and an over all understated but handsome look, it was also incredibly boring and totally the wrong choice for being in America!
Buyers remorse kicked in within a month as I realized I should of gone American with a Mustang or something.
However due to the crappy and expensive process of buying a car here, I kept it for 5 boring years wishing I was in something else
Finally I knew what I wanted, a Jensen Interceptor, new wife had an electric Golf so no need for reliability and practicality instead I could indulge what id always wanted.
Spying a great example on the west coast, just needed to go down a few K to help compensate for the West to East road trip, however before i had the chance to go for it wifey proudly thrusted a pee stick in front of me declaring she was pregnant !
So my dream of the Jensen was burst and instead we had a baby boy, that naturally we called Jensen
So began search for the family wagon, needed to be practical ,good for long distance road trips with lots of room, reliable, economical, safe and something American!
short list was the Dodge Durango with the 5.7 Hemi, the Chevrolet Traverse or the Ford Explorer
All of which were too uninspiring to purchase when I had an idea, and bought this!
Figured you can't get more American than a truck!

A RAM 1500 Crew Cab limited model to be precise
Has everything a family needs, as much space in the back seats as a LWB Rangie, leather heated and ventilated seats in front with heated rear ones that recline or flip up if you need more storage inside, 4 usb A and 4 usb C ports plus wireless charging in the front
12inch touch screen with 360 camera, lots of assists, selectable 4WD and a 5.7l Hemi with just under 400HP that gives 50MPG!*.

Im not saying my wife bought this argument but she relented so....

- man mathed, 23mpg at 3.50USD a gallon, English fuel prices I believe is around 1.62 a liter, so 6.2pounds a gallon which is about USD7.7 a gallon

A good friend of mine has one of these here in the UK, 2020 MY, and I've driven it loads. It really is a nice place to be and nice to drive. Significantly bigger than my L322 inside and out. He's planning to change it for a 2023 this year, that will be his 4th or 5th RAM so they put be doing something right!
