My whole family really enjoyed it. Sure, it’s not going to win any Oscars but it was fun, fairly short by modern film standards, and had plenty to keep Nintendo nerds happy.
Clearly audiences haven’t been out off by the poor reviews either since it’s broken box office records for an animated film.

I've still got my twin screen Donkey Kong handheld that I had back in 1982 when I was only 9 years old! I also liked seeing some of the more modern games like what is on the Switch now as well.
)It wouldn't be a film that I would normally choose to watch, but I guess that it did work well enough for us as a family though.
