It's a bit of a 80's thing but does LGW have a viewing area any more to see planes taking off?

We are taking our 2 year old for the first time on a plane and it would be nice to see some take off.

As you said - bit of an eighties thing - I used to love going to the viewing gallery at Brum when we were kids if we took someone to the airport.

I flew from Heathrow T4 for the first time in ages earlier in the year and discovered they now have one open - unfortunately it's airside.

Go to the upper floor of one of the multistorey car parks.

Elmdon Airport as it used to be (might still be). My Mum loved watching the aircraft as well & we would make a trip out with a picnic to watch for a few hours.
