Going to have to sell my beautiful black Boxster S (I've just started up a small business and its looking like I should invest the money and be sensible for once...grr)

Its an 01 3.2S with a shade under 30k miles.

Basalt Black (black metallic)
Factory Lowered Chassis
PSM
4 Airbags
Tracker
Sound upgrade
18" Sport Classic IIs
Full red leather
Illuminated Vanity mirrors (a £400 cost option belive it or not bless 'em)

Not a great deal I'm afraid.

I'm thinking 21 to 22K ish. Selling privately. A dealer is going to offer you less.

I have an MY03 Oct 02 car myself and I dread to think what a dealer would give me for it...considering it was £45K new.

If you'd be replacing it with something cheaper to liberate a portion of its value as cash the cost of change simply isn't worth it.

Hmmmn. Good news. Autotrader shows your sort of car going for a couple of K more. Maybe £24K - £25K?

I reckon about £23K. Depressing I know. That's not a lot for such a lot of car. If you can, keep it!

The prices will be hit coming out of summer and also the 987's have obviously had an impact on the overall prices accross the 986's.

The good news if there is some is that the depreciation curve should be slowing down now! Good luck.

the fact that its pre facelift is another kick in the teeth, as well as the 987

For every person (like myself) who things a Boxster Red Leather interior is vile there will be another who simply loves it. Most people will be in between.

Not so bad. Its more likely a primary colour like Guard's Red or Speed Yellow would put people off. I didn't care I got a Guard's Red car and would again...
