Anyone had probs with this mine is not working?

Tried my 'trusty' local Vauxhall dealer(where I bought the car)30 mins and 5 phone calls still cannot speak to anyone at all in any department, phone just rings and rings or goes to voicemail and that includes service!

My Subaru had a problem after overloading system with DVD players, one call straight through and technician stayed on phone and talked me through checking the fuses etc. until the problem was sorted.

What a bloody difference! Rant over!

I fitted an additional 12v aux in the back of mine for my son Dan to use his DVD player. But the DVD player popped the fuse. Thanks to Islandboy's advice I fitted a inductor as a choek and (touch wood) no problem since.

When did you notice yours had failed and what had you been powering?

Thanks Rich

Powering nothing and went to try it today for the first time using the in car charger for my Bluetooth headset and nothing.

I have a suspicion. The car is an ex demo and there was car phone wired in. I am wondering if they tapped into the power feed for the socket and did not reconnect when they removed before handing the car onto me.

Long trip at weekend - I think the dvds wil be running on battery power for now.

Interested in Island Boys advice is there a thread for that?

Going into the dealer tomorrow to raise some dust!

With the latest mods that should be real easy!

Hope life is well up there in there in the North.

What do you reckon on 9th October as suggetsed by Alan (ee427)?

Has it ever worked, i.e. has it actually been connected
Are any fuses blown?

Sounds like nothing major - I hope you didn't pay massive ££££'s for the extra?

let us know how you get on - I suspect an installation problem.
