I know things are on a larger scale in America, but 18,000 cows dying in a fire on a farm is pretty incredible

“Authorities believe that machinery in the facility may have ignited methane gas.”
So were they destroyed by their own farts?

Great click bait headline but is everything here as it seems?
The sheriff seems to think it was "methane and what not," but given its location and a history of some farm owning domestic terrorists building truck bombs, do we think that might be more to this than meets the eye?
I mean I know about how these farms store a lot of fertilizer and I can guess methane build up can be an issue but that is one hell of a big blast cloud. Almost looks like the Beirut explosion.

I'm no large scale farmer, used to have a small holding with some sheep and cows, but don't know why a dairy farm would have loads of explosive fertiliser, would have thought if they did need any it would be produced in house by the cows?I mean I know about how these farms store a lot of fertilizer .
I guess too many farty burpy cows in an enclosed shed, bit of a ventilation failure and a spark and up it goes. Probably loads of easily combustible stuff in there like hay / feed etc.
Well there goes another food processing plant / farm etc.
I cant remember before the last 12 months any farms or tinned meat factories exploding like they were freaking PEPCON factories.
I cant understand how its not being investigated more.
You know I get it fires happen, but its weird these places keep exploding.
