Caravan -been sitting -no gas to hob
Discussion
S/h caravan from around 2002 been kept in the same family, bought from the wife's uncle, we bought it last Easter (2022) used it once and parked it up
We took it out last week and couldn't get the hob to light, I tried pushing the cooker knobs in for ages, used a match
I couldn't even see the flame flickering where air would have been push through before the gas.
So I went and got a new full gas bottle, the old one had some in but not a lot and when connecting the new one I could hear the gas start to flow , with the old bottle nothing was Heard.
Today the father in law long time caravan owner and gas safe came over and we took stuff to bits.
We can check and find gas as far the manifold that goes to the hob)oven)heater/fridge etc.
I hooked up a pump to the copper pipe just before the hob , so we could test without gas, even with about 30psi we couldn't get anything at the hob, I removed the jets and checked they were clear, still nothing.
We are possibly thinking that the gas check valve that stop's gas until the glass cover is lifted may be stuck or would a broken thermistor stop gas flowing with the cooker knob pressed in?
When we used it in 2022 it did take ages to purge the system and get the hob to light but it did it eventually with a match
Any other ideas?

Have you found the gas taps?
There will be a series of 3 of them - one for the fridge, one for the oven/hob and the final one for the heating.
Check they are turned on, you should find them in a cupboard or under the seats.
Also check the regulator connection and the tap on the cylinder as well

We are getting gas past the taps/manifold,so it's only the last bit to the hob/oven we are stuck with
