Unfortunately Putler is absolutely paranoid. If half of what is reported is true, the chances of getting close to him are slim at best. Lives in a bunker, refuses to meet anyone who hasnt been pre-screened for COVID and insists on week long quarantine before hand too. And thats before we get to the usual security stuff that is in place - dont forget that there are a line of people just wanting to have a pop.
The best bet to make this happen is from within the Kremlin and probably by a trusted person. Though this isnt going to happen until Russia as a whole starts to collapse. But again, if the reports are true, he's under some pretty serious treatments at the moment so lets see if he just drops dead soon. The risk is leaving a power vacuum that gets filled by some even worse lunatic.

I'm convinced that the only reason it hasn't already happened is that some people "in the know" are convinced that his successor would be worse.
Leaving aside the terrible human cost for a moment, the sheer financial damage - both in physical products and the financial markets - would mean that if the 10 richest people who were impacted by this each bunged in £10 million, it should be attractive to someone, even if it was a suicide mission and their family were the recipients.

Can I question whether OP has been in a coma for the last 14 months, and has suddenly woken up and found out about the Ukraine invasion?
