Watched this at the cinema last night and I really enjoyed it, particularly Matt Damon's part.

Amazon biographical sports film about Nike's basketball arm not being seen as cool in the mid 1980s, and being in a very firm third place behind rivals Converse and Adidas -- all of which were battling to sign Michael Jordan. Spoiler alert, Nike obviously won and that's when the Air Jordan began.

It sounds an incredibly boring film - "Watch as a marketing department launches an ad campaign to improve sneaker sales!"

Then, I realised that one of my favourite sporting movies is 'Moneyball' which can be equally summarised as - "watch as a struggling baseball team uses statistics to improve its on-field performance!"

I may have to see this film hehe

It's a great film, even if you have no interest in basketball or trainers. The soundtrack is pure '80s nostalgia.

Its now on Amazon. I found it really good, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman all did really well.

I've read Shoedog and Nike is probably my favourite brand in the world. I find the success of something that started pouring rubber into waffle irons incredible.

Really good watch, but I am a fanboy of Nike, Michael Jordan and the actors in the cast. Its one I will watch again.

Thanks for flagging, had no idea it was on Amazon so I'll give this a watch - trailers look great.

If you've not read it yet, I'd recommend 'Emotion by Design' by Greg Hofman. Former CMO at Nike.

Thanks Cardinal - Haven't read that book before so just ordered on Amazon now. I briefly watched something with Greg Hofman on Steven Bartletts diary of a CEO but I just can't stand Bartlett so had to give up.

It was recommended to me by a mate and I found it an enjoyable movie even though I have no interest in basketball, Michael Jordan and absolutely loathe Nike.
