I have a whisky glass and a mug that I feel I'll be quite irritated if and when they break. The whisky glass is chipped already...

Back in the dim distant past my Dad would have Araldited that & given it a new lease of life - albeit it would probably have remained at the back of the mug shelf. smile

Mine is still fine, I tried not to look smug.... honest! (I think I have a spare somewhere if you want it)

One of my daughters brought home a Harley Davidson mug from Florida many years ago.

I used it every day but unfortunately it broke.

I’ve never seen one like it but am amazed how many different kinds there are, just not the one I’m looking for.

Better quality than my eBay RS mug, that faded after the first wash.

One of a set of six 1930s wine glasses that I am v fond of. V unlikely to ever find another so will have to get used to only having five. Until I break another one;)

An ex of mine worked on a multi-organisation job some years ago and her boss decided they better have some gizzits to distribute. They got hold of some corporate branded mugs to give out, and the first time the head of one of the other delegations used his the handle fell off and is smashed on the floor rofl

Might sound silly but I had a 120cm x 90cm mirror (about 20x20 actually worked as a mirror) that was littered with stickers from gigs, clubs, festivals, skate parks, car meets, football matches, tech expos etc. spanning about 20 years of memories which I knocked over when moving house.

Many swear words. censoredweeping

Many years ago I had a rather lovely Ducati 748 that I managed to break not many months after buying it. It really was a lovely bike (the reason I decided to get my bike license is that I saw a 916 and lusted after one).

I shouldn’t take all the credit as it was a joint effort involving a dozy pensioner in a Renault 5…

Unfortunately the bike wasn’t the only thing that got broken…

A beautiful foot long mercury thermometer manufactured about 1910 - a very useful -10*C to 50*C. Snapped it in half.
I took it to the local tip to see if they would dispose of the lower part with an intact bulb & about 0.5 ml of mercury in & they were freaked out.

Superglue is your friend.

We have two vase type ornaments that got broken without my other half's knowledge.

She still doesn't know they have been broken and glued back together.

Making coffee is a dangerous business. I broke 3 treasured mugs over the space of 18 months when I put them in the microwave with some milk to heat up before adding brewed coffee.

On my half asleep early morning starts I overheated them, reached into remove them after the microwave ping, and went holy fk that's hot and dropped them. frown

Now I have an electric heated milk frother thing or use a plastic jug.
